We’ll begin Return of the Light by gathering together in a welcoming circle beside the sea, taking a moment to arrive, slow down and leave the busyness of everyday life behind.
Connecting with the energy of the Cold Full Moon and Winter Solstice, we’ll explore the themes of reflection, release and renewal.
Through gentle guided meditation, breathwork and moments of stillness, we’ll connect with ourselves, the natural world around us and the people sharing this experience.
With the sea as our backdrop and the changing sky above us, this opening circle will set the tone for the afternoon and evening ahead, creating a sense of connection, grounding and openness before we move into yoga, sound healing, and music.

Flow through a gentle, soul-warming yoga practice by the sea, designed to awaken your body and calm your mind. As you move through each posture, you’ll feel the cool winter air on your skin, hear the steady rhythm of the waves, and connect deeply to the earth beneath your feet.
Each breath becomes a prayer of gratitude, each movement a reminder of your connection to nature and the cycle of light returning. Together, under the soft glow of the winter Solstice sky with the Cold Full Moon rising, we’ll create warmth through mindful flow, shared energy, and community spirit. A truly grounding way to honour the season and prepare your body for the magic of the evening ahead.

Through sound, breath and meditation, Monika from Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth creates a space to slow down, soften and reconnect with yourself. Using Tibetan singing bowls and a beautiful blend of gentle instruments, she’ll guide you on a deeply relaxing sound journey, allowing the vibrations and resonant tones to wash over you.
As you settle into stillness, the sounds invite you to let go of tension, quiet the busy mind and permit yourself to rest, without needing to do or achieve anything. It’s an opportunity to turn inward, tune into your body and simply receive, allowing the sounds to carry you into a place of calm and peaceful awareness.
Following our opening circle and yoga, this sound journey offers a moment to pause, restore and find your own rhythm before we break and then move into the next part of the day. A chance to recharge, reconnect with your inner stillness and make space for whatever you need in that moment.

After our circle, yoga and sound bath, we’ll take a 30-minute break to relax, refuel and enjoy the surroundings. Head into Sobo Beach Café to grab something to eat or drink, warm up with a hot chocolate or winter drink, or simply spend a little time chatting and connecting with others.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you might even fancy a quick dip in the sea! Whether you choose to embrace the cold water, take a stroll along the beach, browse the holistic stalls or just sit back and watch the waves, this is your time to do whatever feels right for you.
Then, refreshed and recharged, we’ll come back together ready to lift the energy, move our bodies and dance into the evening with Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth, DJ Pixie Pete and live percussion.

DJ Pixie Pete, a well-known name in the South’s ecstatic dance and conscious dance scene, bringing his unique musical journey to Sobo Beach.
Blending uplifting beats, global rhythms and carefully woven soundscapes, Pete will take us on a journey through movement, expression and pure dance-floor freedom. Adding an extra dimension to his DJ set, he’ll be bringing his electric drums for live percussion, creating an exciting fusion of electronic music and live rhythm.
This is your chance to let go of expectations, forget the steps and move however your body wants to move. Dance wildly, gently, playfully or simply lose yourself in the music.

Known locally and across the festival scene for bringing people together through music, DiPPYBaMbA brings a wonderful energy that invites everyone to join in, let go and be part of the moment.
With live singing, infectious rhythms and feel-good sounds, this is all about sharing the experience rather than simply watching from the sidelines. Sing along, move your feet, dance with friends old and new, and enjoy that special feeling of being part of a crowd connected through music.
Whether you're singing at the top of your voice, swaying along or dancing, DiPPYBaMbA will help bring our Return of the Light celebration together with joy, warmth and a little festival magic.

Whether you’ve been dancing your heart out, soaking up the sounds or simply enjoying the atmosphere, this is a chance to settle back into yourself and connect with the people you’ve shared the experience with.
Head over to Sobo Beach Bar and treat yourself to something delicious, from warming hot drinks and comforting cacao to refreshing mocktails, cocktails and their new collagen drinks. Find a cosy spot, enjoy a few soul chats, share a laugh, make new connections before we all head home.
